Jake Tapper: A bright spot in the journalistic darkness

Jake Tapper, senior White House correspondent for ABC news reminds me of the boy in "The Emperor's New Clothes", the fairy tale by Danish poet and author, Han Christian Andersen.  When standing naked among the emperor's adoring sycophants, the boy announces, "But he has nothing on!"

In yesterday's presser with White House press secretary Robert Gibbs, Tapper had the temerity to ask the following:
Tapper: It’s escaped none of our notice that the White House has decided in the last few weeks to declare one of our sister organizations “not a news organization” and to tell the rest of us not to treat them like a news organization. Can you explain why it’s appropriate for the White House to decide that a news organization is not one –

Tapper is, of course, referring to the White House war on Fox News.  Gibbs responded with his usual unintelligible nonsense non-answer.  Read the whole exchange here.
