Senate passes reconciliation bill
The House reconciliation bill passed this afternoon by a vote of 56-43. All Senate Republicans voted against the measure along with three Democrats: Blanche Lincoln (AR), Mark Pryor (AR) and Ben Nelson (NE). Since the Senate parliamentarian required the removal of 16 lines of the bill on procedural grounds, the bill now moves back to the House for a final vote which is expected tonight.
