By the People: the election of Barack Obama

Last week, Fox News took some flack for incorrectly reporting that the President watched the Edward Norton/HBO Documentary about himself, "By the People: The Election of Barack Obama" instead of watching the election returns for contested races in New Jersey, Virginia and New York.  While the story turned out to be unsubstantiated and was corrected by Fox, it was easily believable, or as Dan Rather might say "fake but accurate."

If you haven't seen this obsequious documentary, don't fret.  It seems to be playing around the clock on HBO this month. One segment shows the candidate preparing for a debate with John McCain and seems to be a foretelling omen of Obama's presidency.  From an interview with the film directors on Democracy Now:
AMY GOODMAN: I want to go to a lighter moment captured by the cameras, when President—oh, sorry, when at the time presidential candidate Obama stumbles over his four main campaign pledges, as he and his team prepare for a debate with Republican nominee John McCain.

SEN. BARACK OBAMA: Let’s talk about what my plan does. What’s our four things again?

UNIDENTIFIED: Job creation.

SEN. BARACK OBAMA: Jobs. Man, jobs. Hopefully that won’t happen during the debate. “Huh? I don’t remember my plan, but it’s a really good plan.” (emphasis mine)
Jobs.  Forgotten then.  Unimportant now.

  1. As long as he has his comfy chair in the Oval Office, why should this idiot care if the rest of us have jobs? Oh, wait...

  2. Obviously, his "really good plan" is really good. After all, unemployment rates are only about 10%. Only one in 10 people are without jobs. Hey, thats really good, right?

How many days left until we can vote this traitor out again?
